United Nations Day honors and promotes human rights, social progress, and world peace.

International students at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo celebrated 2022 United Nations Day on Oct. 28 with the annual Parade of Nations showing the university’s geographic and ethnic diversity. United Nations Day honors and promotes human rights, social progress, and world peace.

UH Hilo students from different parts of the world also performed dances and shared informational displays about their countries on the Mookini Library lānai.

The event was sponsored by UH Hilo’s International Student Services and International Student Association.
