Cohort 10 graduate students in UH Hilo’s Master of Arts in Teaching program are well on their way to becoming certified teachers in Hawai‘i. They will be eligible for teacher licensure in May and plan to have their own classrooms in August. Su-Mi Lee, Associate Professor and Chair, Political Science, has received a research grant from the Korea Foundation that supports research projects providing in-depth analyses of and policy recommendations on Republic of Korea-United States relations. With the grant, she will invite prominent experts on ROK-US security alliance, space security, and regional security to explore the ramifications of South Korea’s expanding space program and propose policy recommendations.
