2022 Spring Commencement at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo was held May 14 at Edith Kanakaʻole Stadium.

“Saturday was a glorious, happy day,” says UH Hilo Chancellor Bonnie Irwin. “ʻOhana and faculty and staff were bursting with pride for their students and reveling in the day. I could see the smiles of joy radiating under masks. Our students have accomplished so much under the trying circumstances of the last two years, and it was wonderful to see all of those new professionals that UH Hilo is sending out into the world, preparing to face challenges and lift up their communities.”

Approximately 557 students petitioned for degrees and/or certificates and for various post-graduate credentials from the College of Arts and Sciences; Ka Haka ʻUla O Keʻelikōlani College of Hawaiian Language; College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Natural Resource Management; College of Natural and Health Sciences; College of Business and Economics; and Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy.

The ceremony was limited by invitation and not open to the public.
