Take a short survey to provide feedback as the UH System’s General Education requirements are reviewed and redesigned after two decades. “General Education requirements” refers to the core curriculum all UH undergraduate students, regardless of major, are required to take. These courses reflect standards of learning and encompasses the skills and knowledge that are essential for all graduates to have. The deadline for taking the survey is May 31, 2021.

Frank Kuo, Director of Counseling Services, presents “How to utilize virtual outreach activities and identify outreach strategies to promote mental health on campus, reduce stigma of counseling, target suicide prevention, and serve those indigenous, underrepresented, and marginalized student populations,” at Northeast Ohio Medical University’s virtual 5th Ohio Program for Campus Safety and Mental Health (OPCSMH) Biennial conference, Creating Community Wellness: Equity and Inclusion in Student Mental Health, Tuesday, May 18.
Kolby Santiago, Assistant Director of Financial Aid, has been elected to serve as President of the Pacific Financial Aid Association (PacFAA). PacFAA’s mission is to provide quality administration of financial aid programs in postsecondary institutions in the Pacific, which includes the State of Hawai`i and the Pacific Region. PacFAA maintains a liaison with the western regional financial aid association and she will also serve as a board member of the Western Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (WASFAA).
