The University of Hawai‘i at Hilo, in partnership with KTA Super Stores Pharmacy, will be hosting a second flu clinic on Tuesday, Oct. 13, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in room 127 of the University Classroom Building.

KTA Pharmacy will bill flu shots directly to HMSA, HMAA, UHA, Medicare Part B, HMN and Kaiser. Most insurance plans cover 100 percent of the cost of the flu shot.

A KTA online consent form must be filled out prior to Oct. 6 in order to receive the flu vaccine at this clinic. This form is compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). There will be no consent forms available on the day of the clinic.

Prior to receiving the flu shot, participants will undergo a short screening: temperature check, ensuring employee is wearing a mask that covers nose and mouth securely, and screening for symptoms of COVID-19.
