Last week, the University of Hawaiʻi System distributed UH COVID-19 Guidelines (Interim) for the Fall 2020 semester, and referenced campuses compiling guidelines and protocols for social distancing, communication and cleaning. Here is the UH Hilo Social Distancing Guidelines and Strategies, posted July 7, 2020.

The guidelines focus on maintaining social distancing and creating space in classrooms, labs, offices, and other common areas, as well as providing guidance on face coverings and informing the campus with appropriate signage. The social distancing practices include six feet of separation, removing or restricting seating, adjusting walking patterns, and limiting large meetings and gatherings.
The UH Hilo community is encouraged to review these guidelines to be aware of the changes to the campus that are already taking place. The guidelines will be reviewed and adapted on an on-going basis. Any updates will be reflected on the page and notification will be sent to the campus community.
