Shakas! UH Hilo pharmacy students receive awards in online ceremony

The dean of the pharmacy college says the students’ achievements in the face of adversity speak well for their potential accomplishments and contributions to the pharmacy profession.

The annual student awards ceremony for pharmacy students at the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo was held online in a virtual ceremony on May 7, 2020. Students, faculty, and staff from the Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy (DKICP) celebrated their accomplishments and watched a slideshow recapping highlights of the year.

“While this has been a challenging spring semester for students, making the transition to all online classes and dealing with the stresses brought on by the pandemic, they have continued to work hard and perform well,” says Carolyn Ma, dean of the college. “Their achievements in the face of adversity speak well for their potential accomplishments and contributions to the pharmacy profession.”
