Seven students from the Marine Options Program at the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo attended the annual statewide MOP Student Symposium held last weekend at Honolulu Community College.

The annual symposium features oral and poster presentations by 25 undergraduate students from around the state. The presentations represent the culmination of the students’ skill project requirement for their MOP certificate and give the students a way to showcase their accomplishments.

The UH Hilo MOP team posted their results on Instagram:

This past weekend, seven UH Hilo MOP students traveled to O‘ahu for the 33rd annual MOP Symposium. Congratulations to Jenna Budke for best internship and Mikayla Jones for best research presentation!

A job well done to all MOP students who presented and congratulations on the completion of your skill projects!

Other participating students from UH Hilo made a good showing and were strong contenders in the competition. They were Alexander Lau, Anna Baker Mikkelsen, Kailey Pascoe, Ashley Pugh, and Kelsey Reimer.

On Friday, April 22, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., University Classroom Building room 100, UH Hilo will be hosting a Regional MOP Symposium featuring these and other MOP presentations.

Congratulations to all!
