Inspired by an ancestral culture of navigation, the overall theme of each conference is “Navigating Success,” focused on the need for the young students to persevere in making right and courageous decisions and to continue on a path of success. The theme of this year’s conference supports the overall goals of Hawai‘i’s public schools: “College, Career, Community Readiness.”
The annual event is sponsored by UH Hilo’s Pacific Islander Student Center.
