Staff Council

The Staff Council is the official representative body for staff members at University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo (UH Hilo).

The Staff Council functions in an advisory capacity to the UH Hilo Chancellor and administration with the express goal of promoting the general welfare of the University through advocacy, the inclusion of staff perspectives, and providing opportunities to enhance the personal and professional knowledge, skills, and abilities of Civil Service and Administrative, Professional, and Technical (APT) employees.

The Staff Council shall serve as a channel of communication between UH Hilo Staff and Administration on UH Hilo campus procedural and operational concerns that may be raised by the Council or the Administration.

The Staff Council shall be represented on advisory groups to the Chancellor and senior leadership.
