Zentangle is an easy-to-learn and fun method of drawing structured patterns. It is also a tool to boost mindfulness for relaxation and creativity. Class one will cover the basics of Zentangle, including concepts, techniques, vocabulary, and Fundamental Tangles. Class two will focus on creating waterscape pieces, while learning more about composition and color theory. This course will launch (or reignite) participants’ practice of creating and playing with patterns. No drawing or Zentangle experience is necessary. Ages 12 and up. Required: Sketchbook, pencil. Introductory Zentangle kit is included, however participants are encouraged to bring their own supplies as desired (drawing pens, colored pencils, etc.). Camera is also recommended for use outside of class. Meet Sara Krosch: Sara Krosch is a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) who has been practicing the art form since 2015. She is currently a graphic designer, small business owner, and arts festival producer.
