So you want to write! This course will help you discover the writer within. By writing! One word, one sentence, one story at a time. Short timed writing exercises, tips and tricks, creating the space for writing, sharing writing aloud, and weekly discussions about strategy, craft, style, voice, emotion, humor, and heart. Weekly assignments to stretch one’s creativity. If you have a writing project you are working on or if you want to continue developing your voice, come write with us. Bring a notebook and a pen.

Frances Kai-Hwa Wang is a writer, speaker, activist and multicultural educator who teaches at the University of Michigan, and is the author of “Where Lava Meets the Sea—Asian Pacific American Postcards from Hawaii”.
