Student Activities Council Event Funding

Aloha Vulcans! The SAC RISO Funding application for the 2024-2025 school year officially closed on March 24th, 2025. The committee, made up of students, will not accept any more applications beyond this deadline. We appreciate your understanding on this matter. Mahalo!

The Student Activities Council (SAC) Event Funding serves as an opportunity for UH Hilo Registered Independent Student Organizations (RISOs) and Campus Programs/Units to request financial support to develop their programming and services enriching student life at UH Hilo. The campus-based and opt-in Student Activity Fees are collected and expended following the SAC's mission and philosophy. Although providing funding is not part of the SAC's missions and, therefore, not required, the SAC does recognize the contributions that these groups provide and their positive impact on student life at UH Hilo.

Registered Independent Student Organizations (RISOs) and campus groups looking for funding from the Student Activities Council (SAC) must review the SAC Event Funding Guidelines and complete the SAC Event Funding Application through Google Forms by the listed deadlines below.

Application Deadlines

The timeline for the SAC's Event Funding for the 2024-2025 academic year is listed below:

  • Deadlines for Requests:
    • Spring 2025:
      • November 18th, 2024 at 5:00pm for all events in January.
      • December 16th, 2024 at 5:00pm for all events in February.
      • January 20nd, 2025 at 5:00 pm for all events in March.
      • February 17th, 2025 at 5:00pm for all events in April.
      • March 24th, 2025 at 5:00pm for all events in May.
