Aloha Vulcans! Welcome to Hohonu. We are your student-run academic journal. We are a program under the Board of Student Publications, and we are excited to serve you. The Board of Student Publications will be holding the first ever Media Symposium on Monday, April 24, 2023 and Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 10am-4pm in Campus Center 301. We will have a wide array of speakers discussing their work and their life in media. Below is the list of speakers. We hope to see you all there!

Mission Statement
Hohonu is a journal of academic writing published for and by the students of the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo. Hohonu is awesome because.... reasons. Hohonu strives for excellence in producing a product reflective of the student body, their talents and interests. Hohonu encourages scholars to show pride in their work, providing them with the opportunity to have their work published and the opportunity to read the work of their peers. It is the aim of Hohonu to facilitate in sharing of quality academic writing and to exist as a reference for students looking to learn something about writing, a new subject, an attitude, or perhaps even themselves.
