Of all the Hawaiian cultural practitioners I have had the great honor to meet and get to know, Ku’ulei has a very special place in my heart. She is unmatched in sharing mo’olelo and is one of the kindest souls I’ve ever known. I’m so grateful to hear her amazing voice on this recording. I have hoped for many years that she would record her stories so they will live on forever. No one can tell a story like Ku’ulei. Much love to you!

Aloha e Sharon,

Mahalo nui for sharing your manaʻo with us and for listening in. We appreciate hearing from you and agree that Kuʻulei is indeed a wonderful person. We are honored to have her as a special guest on Ka Leo o ka Uluau, and pleased that she shared the moʻolelo of Kaulanapōkiʻi as well as her beautiful poetry. Kuʻulei is a gifted story-teller who is able to capture her audience with her lovely leo (voice) and hopefully many others will now have the pleasure of hearing one of many moʻolelo that she carries.

Me ke aloha nui, the Ka Leo o ka Uluau Team
