Kūlia Tolentino Potter from Pōhāhā I Ka Lani joins hosts Lei and Drew to share moʻolelo about Hiʻilawe waterfall and stream in Waipiʻo Valley in the moku or district of Hāmākua.
This fourth season of Ka Leo o ka Uluau consists of 12 episodes that began in November ~ Welehu 2024 with a shift in focus to our astonishing and inspiring Mauna and bodies of Wai & Kai of Hawaiʻi Island, from our relationship with native manu of Hawaiʻi (Season III 2023) and Hawaiian sustainable practices (Season II 2022) and moʻolelo wahi pana of Hawaiʻi Island (Season I 2021).
Season IV episodes will be released throughout the year on the Hilo moon phase of every malama, also known as mahina or lunar month, to raise awareness of and honor this indigenous practice of keeping time.
This episode was released January 29, 2025, initiating the Hawaiʻi lunar month of Kaulua.
