The University of Hawai‘i at Hilo is a growing university of about 4,000 students that offers a wide range of liberal arts and professional programs, as well as a number of carefully selected graduate programs of benefit to our island and region. The university recently established two new doctoral programs.
UH Hilo’s expanding campus gives students an excellent learning environment. New 21st-century facilities have recently opened for Sciences & Technology, the College of Hawaiian Language, Student Services, and Student Housing that includes supportive living-learning environments. In the spring of 2014, the State Legislature approved $33 million to fund a permanent building for the College of Pharmacy.
To help create Hawai‘i’s future, UH Hilo challenges students to reach their highest level of achievement and gives every student opportunities to apply their learning to our distinctive natural and cultural environment. Faculty regularly collaborate with students on research, internships, and community outreach projects that provide practical applied learning experiences — our students graduate with both a diploma and a résumé, ready to continue their education or enter the workforce.
UH Hilo prepares students well for meaningful and productive careers of benefit to the island, state, and world. To learn more, I invite you to visit the UH Hilo website.
