Aloha kākou,

After leading the academic affairs division through a very challenging period in UH Hilo’s history, Vice Chancellor Roney has decided to move on to a new chapter in her life at the end of June. I am grateful for her leadership throughout the pandemic and the budget crisis. She leaves academic affairs with a sound budget, a new academic program, and with several new faculty and administrators joining the team, all of which position the academic division in good stead to move into the future. Please join me in wishing Kris well.

Further information about interim leadership in academic affairs will be forthcoming in June.

E mālama pono,

Bonnie D. Irwin
Chancellor
