Nineteen (n = 19) were scored by various readers in the department. Of the nineteen, eight students submitted writing that was above competent, nine who were approaching competency, and two who exhibited beginning level skills. Documentation conventions (2.473) appears to be the most difficult skill for students in this group.

This is a Writing Intensive course, and this final paper is one of several written assignments. Findings will be used to revise the course in terms of strengthening the writing capabilities of students, particularly with reference to organizing ideas and sources
