2023 Alakaʻi Conferences in Hawaiʻi
About July, 2023 Sessions
We invite you to join us at the 2023 ALAKAʻI Conferences in Hawaiʻi
UH Hilo’s ALAKAʻI program (Applied Life-Science Academy: Knowledge Advancing Industry) is hosting two education conferences in Kona and Hilo in July, 2023 with its team partners, Dr. James DeKloe, and the National Corn to Ethanol Research Center (NCERC).
These conferences are intended for industry professionals, students, and the community.
Attending both provides the deepest insights into new perspectives to define sustainability and apply these across the multiple disciplines needed to effect transformational change, although each session is designed to be stand-alone.
The two sessions are:
2023 Sustainable Circular Economies: Putting the Pieces Together
The 2023 Sustainable Circular Economies Conference takes place July 17-19 in Kona (Waikoloa), Hawaiʻi
2023 Mālama Honua: Indigenous Perspectives on Sustainability
The 2023 Mālama Honua Conference takes place July 19 - 21 in Hilo, Hawaiʻi
