Writing Placement Assessment Online Registration Form
There are currently no assessments scheduled or all seats have been filled for the upcoming assessments. Registration will reopen when the next assessment is scheduled. Please monitor the assessment schedule for more information.
Students who need to take the Writing Placement Assessment (WPA) must take the online version. The link to the online WPA is:

The in-person Writing Placement Assessment (WPA) is cancelled for now.

Registration Notices:
- Registration is limited to the number of seats for each exam date.
- Walk-in seating will be available only after registered students have been accommodated and if seats are still available.
- All students must check in at the exam site no later than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time.
- All currently enrolled students must bring their UH Hilo photo ID. All newly accepted students must bring a photo ID and acceptance letter.
Results
Before the assessment, the proctor will give you an estimated time of results availability. When they become available, you may find the results at Writing Placement Assessment result search page.
