1. Meeting called to order at 2:03 pm.

2. Approval of minutes from previous meeting on November 1, 2019

3. Chair Announcements

None.

4. Agenda Items/Discussion:

• 4.A. Assessment Update- Quantitative Reasoning Assessment Due to Scott
  • Scott received MAT, MED, DNP, HRMA, TCBES, COUNS PSYCH and PHARM. He still needs one last part from KHUOK.
• 4.B. WICHE Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP) Update
  • Ken informed GC that UH System administration wants the WRGP tuition percentage to be 150% of resident rate instead of the 125% previously approved by GC. GC voted and approved the WRGP tuition percentage will be 150% of resident rate.

  • Vote: 9-0-0
• 4.C. Grad Course Repeat Policy
  • No more than two courses may be retaken, and no graduate level course may be retaken more than once during the student’s graduate career. Students need to fill out the Graduate Repeat Course Notification Form. The Grad Course Repeat Policy can be found on the Graduate Student Handbook website.
• 4.D. TCBES Affiliate Faculty Approvals
  • The following Affiliate Faculty members were voted on and approved:
    • Mark Henderson
    • Leon Peralto
    • James Peterson

  • Vote: 8-0-0
• 4.E. Unclassified Student Credit Cap
  • Revised form and policy to remove 9 credit cap was voted on and approved. Will go into effect Spring 2020. Catalog and Graduate handbook will be revised.

5. Other Business

No graduate council meeting on January 4th, 2020. Cheri and Shelby will send out application number update in January. Will reconvene on February 7th, 2020.
