1. Meeting called to order at 2:02 pm.
2. Approval of minutes from previous meeting on May 3, 2019
Vote: 6-0-0.
3. Chair Announcements:

4. Agenda Items/Discussion:
- 4.A. Assessment Update:
- Quantitative Reasoning Assessment Due to Scott
- Heritage Management and Tropical Conservation Biology Environmental Science will send to Scott by the end of next week. Counseling Psychology checking to see if it was done.
- Approval of Information Literacy Assessment Rubric
- Decided to add plagiarism note from the undergraduate rubric at the bottom noting that the document convention column will be a 0 if any plagiarism.

- Quantitative Reasoning Assessment Due to Scott
- 4.B. WICHE Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP):
- Decision of Graduate council is to move forward to join WRGP. Need to decide whether to endorse tuition at resident rate or at 150% of resident rate, similar to Manoa. Opinions of chairs mixed. Heritage Management would want to opt out due to local student base for community based research. Shelby and Mike to put together summary proposal to present to Ken and Chancellor. Shelby to contact WICHE to learn more about application and approval process. Need to decide on and vote for the GPA benchmark at the next meeting. Undecided if should be the same as UH Manoa or different.
- College of Pharmacy- PharmD wants to participate in the PSEP program- WICHE’s Professional Student Exchange Program. Support vote also includes this. They would support 150% of resident tuition for PSEP. Will include this in summary to VCAA.

- 4.C. Approval of KHUOK PHD External Member- Nani Lee:
- Nani Lee to serve as the external reviewing member for PhD HILCR committee.

- Scott will send Ken a memo to approve.
- 4.D. KHUOK Students Past 5/7 Year Mark:
- Two HAWL MA and one PHD HILCR student need one year extensions. PHD student has hit the seven-year mark, but will finish this semester, Fall 2019. The other two have just hit the five-year mark.

- 4.E. Graduate Division Updates:
- Graduate Student Handbook is 100% online.
- Created a Graduate listserv with all current graduate students. If interested in sending something out, please contact Cheri or Shelby. First announcements will be Student Representative and “Graduating Soon?” handouts.
- Annual Reports Due- Heritage Management, School of Education and KHUOK still need to send annual reports to Graduate Division.

5. Other Business
- 5.A. TCBES Student:
- TCBES Student defended thesis and is very close to finishing but primary advisor Jesse Eiben, left UHH in July 2019. He is still helping her with revisions. Need policy/precedent between defense and graduating to help with these situations.
- Decided to allow Jesse Eiben to stay on as primary advisor and having program chair sign as co-advisor.
