1. Meeting called to order at 12:01 pm.
2. Approval of minutes from previous meeting on March 6, 2020

3. Chair Announcements
None.
4. Agenda Items/Discussion:
- 4.A. Assessment Update- Information Literacy Assessment
- Programs are to conduct their Information Literacy Assessments. Final assessments are due to Scott by August 31, 2020 via email. GC will work on Oral Communication rubric (2020-2021) in Fall when in-person meetings resume.
- 4.B. Creation of WASC Core Competency Descriptors
- GC created short blurbs of descriptive text for each rubric for the core competency and programmatic assessment indicators to be added to the WSCUC Institutional Accreditation website. Shelby will reformat and send to Seri.
- 4.C. Graduate Council Charter Updates
- Shelby, Mike and Peter met to go over Graduate Council charter edits. They created a document with the proposed edits and is asking the GC for revisions, suggestions or comments by Friday, May 29th.
- 4.D. TCBES Petition: Courses Past 5 Year Mark
- TCBES student graduating in Spring 2020 is asking GC to permit her core classes to be counted towards her program even though they are past the 5-year limit.

- 4.E. Graduate Student Representative for 2020-2021
- Current student representative is graduating. Program Chairs to spread the word to current students that the GC needs another student representative.
- 4.F. Chair and Vice Chair for 2020-2021
- Mike Shintaku will stay on as Graduate Council Chair and Peter Mills will stay on as the Vice Graduate Council Chair.
- 4.G. Graduate Division Updates:
- Application deadline updates- MED pushed deadline to June 1st, KITE pushed deadline to April 30th.
- Form 3 Reminders- Spring 2020 graduates due Tuesday, June 9th, and Summer 2020 graduates due Tuesday, August 4th.

5. Other Business
- 5.a. Counseling Psychology Program
- The Counseling Psychology program will no longer be requiring the GRE for admissions purposes effective Fall 2021. They have also updated their Letter of Recommendation template criteria.
- CARES Act Money for Graduate Students- A current Counseling Psychology graduate student was notified that they don’t qualify for the CARES Act money because Counseling Psychology is designated as a “distance learning” program. Bryan to follow up with Financial Aid.
- 5.b. TCBES
- Revising graduate handbook to come up with process to formally change advisors. GC suggest to take a look at DNP handbook, as they have their own program process.
