1. Meeting called to order at 2:00 pm.

2. Approval of minutes from previous meeting on February 7, 2020

4. Agenda Items/Discussion

  • 4.A. Assessment Update- Information Literacy Assessment
    • Programs are to conduct their Information Literacy Assessments. Final data is due to Scott by August 31, 2020. GC to do Oral Communication Rubric (2020-2021) at the next GC meeting in April. Mary Louise to send link.
  • 4.B. Change of Registration Form Update
    • The change of registration form has been updated so it is clear to Graduate Students that they need the Graduate Council Chair to sign off instead of the College Dean.
  • 4.C. TCBES Affiliate Faculty Approvals

  • 4.D. GRE
    • TCBES will no longer be requiring the GRE for admissions purposes effective with the application cycle for Fall 2021.
  • 4.E. Counseling Psychology Student Exception- Commencement (Tabled from February)
    • Tabled to April meeting.
  • 4.F. WICHE Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP) Tuition Update
    • The Graduate Division will implement Fall 2021. In the process of obtaining tuition code. Participating programs include: TCBES, DNP, KHUOK (all programs), HRMA, MAT/MED, and COUNS PSYCH. Grad Division will create a main WRGP page on the Grad Division website to be put up after this year’s admission cycle is finished. Programs should also add wording in on their websites and/or fliers starting with the Fall 2021 recruitment.
  • 4.G. Grad Council Charter Updates
    • Petition to amend charter- endorsed by 1/3 of GC (Vote: 7-0-0)
    • Subcommittee created to review and edit Charter- Shelby, Peter, Mike

  2. KHUOK Requests
    • KITE applicant’s GPA is below the limit for provisional status, but the program would like to provisionally accept them.

  3. HILCR Student will defend after the April 15th deadline for commencement, but is asking for an exception to still participate in commencement.
