Cormack is a UK based company whose mission is to contact schools in the UK to partners around the world. They will assist UH Hilo faculty in finding a partner in the UK to collaborate in classroom or research activities. Cormack provides these services to its clients in the UK, so there is no cost for UH Hilo to use their services. Kansai University Institute for Innovative Global Education

Located at Kansai University in Osaka, Japan, the IIGE provides training, conducts research, and facilitates partnerships to stimulate and promote cooperative global education. As a partner and active member of the IIGE network, UH Hilo faculty can participate in their presentations and meet prospective partners through their network.

Japanese Government Grant for COIL Programs

The Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology instituted a grant in 2018 for Japanese universities to expand their online collaboration with partner universities outside of Japan. Kansai University in Osaka was one of the lead universities in the project but two other UH Hilo partners, Nanzan University in Nagoya and the University of the Ryukyus in Okinawa were also grant recipients. They have staff to assist partner universities in finding collaborators for interested faculty.
