Honey Chile Salt
Ingredients
- 3 dried chile arbol peppers
- 1 cup sea salt
- 1/8 cup Lava Bee Honey
- 1 tsp Oregano
- 1 tsp granulated garlic
- ½ tsp dried cumin
- 1 tsp dried basil
Directions
- In a bowl, mix one cup of sea salt with 1/8 cup Lava Bee Honey. Mix to all grains of salt.
- Put salt in dehydrator and dehydrate for 8-12 hours, mixing every few hours. You may need to grind salts to a finer course so that the salt dries better.
- In a small sauce pan, roast chiles in a small amount of cooking oil until the chiles turn a chocolate brown color. Set aside and cool.
- In a blender or coffee grinder (recommended) mix together remaining spices with the honey salt and chiles.
Note: This rub is exceptionally great on steaks and chicken, or can also be used in stews and soups. Use as a salt.
