Current Openings:

Instructor of Psychology

Position number 86431T, UH Hilo, College of Arts & Sciences; temporary, special funds, full-time;
9-month appointment; to begin approximately August 2012, pending position clearance and availability of funds.
  • Duties: Teach courses in introduction to psychology, statistics and/or research methods, and other areas; provide academic advising to students; perform other related tasks and duties as assigned. 
  • Minimum qualifications: A master’s degree in psychology or a closely related field from an accredited university by the time of employment; ability to teach introduction to psychology, and either statistics or research methods.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Ability to teach both statistics and research methods. Ability to teach one or more of the following courses: Developmental Psychology, Personality, Social Psychology, Abnormal Psychology; experience teaching, advising, or counseling in a multi-cultural setting; a doctoral degree in psychology or a closely related field.
  • Salary: Commensurate with training and experience.
