Instructor of Psychology
UH Hilo, College of Arts & Sciences, non-tenure track, full-time, special funds, nine-month appointment to begin approximately August 2015, pending position clearance and availability of funding.
Teach courses in introduction to psychology, statistics and/or research methods, and other area(s); provide academic advising to students.
A PhD in psychology from an accredited university by the time of employment; ability to teach introduction to psychology, and either statistics or research methods. Ability to teach 1 or more of the following courses: Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Abnormal Psychology.
Ability to teach both statistics and research methods. Evidence of teaching effectiveness in one or more of the following courses: Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Abnormal Psychology; experience teaching, advising, or counseling in a multi-cultural setting;. Ability to teach Advanced Statistics. Evidence of research productivity.
Commensurate with training and experience.
