Assistant Professor of Psychology
Position #73298
Tenure-track, full-time, nine-month appointment to begin August 2014

Duties: Teach courses in developmental psychology, sensation and perception, statistics or research methods, and courses within the candidate’s area of specialization; provide academic advising to students; conduct program of scholarly research; participate in department, university and community service.

Minimum Qualifications: A doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited university at the time of application; demonstrated expertise in developmental psychology and the ability to teach sensation and perception and development at the undergraduate level; strong evidence of research productivity, or clear potential for developing a strong program of research in developmental psychology; demonstrated excellence in college teaching.

Desirable Qualifications: Documented excellence in teaching courses listed under Duties; experience in teaching, advising, or counseling in a multi-cultural setting; a strong research record as evidenced by empirical publications in recognized scholarly journals and research grants in the area of developmental psychology.

Pay Range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
