Green Days - The University of Hawai‘i at Hilo (UH Hilo) will continue to conserve energy through powering down certain buildings during non-instructional days. The Human Resources Office (HR) is located in an area designated for powering down. Therefore, HR will be closed from 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 24, 2012 through Sunday, April 1, 2012. We will re-open at 7:45 a.m. on Monady, April 2, 2012.
The Green Days coincide with the negotiated Supplemental Time Off (STO) for certain bargaining units. For additional information link to BU 2,3,4 or BU 8.
Employees whose buildings are designated to power down and are not covered by the STO may: 1) request for vacation leave; 2) request for leave without pay; 3) make arrangements with their supervisor to work in other areas.
