Accreditation Preparation Committee

The UH Hilo Accreditation Steering Committee was appointed in August 2010 by Chancellor Don Straney. In the letter of appointment, Chancellor Straney charged the committee with "examining our institution under the WASC standard. The committee will work with the campus and with me to characterize UH Hilo's most important aspects, the specific issues we want to address, desired goals and outcomes for the review, and the issues raised by the WASC Commission in the last review. The goal will be to leverage the accreditation review process to achieve goals of long-term value to the campus."
