In order to share the Aloha of Hawai’i’s diverse women’s community and to ensure equality and safe access to educational and work experiences at the University of Hawai`i at Hilo, the UHH Women's Center serves as a focal point for issues relating to gender equality, leadership, safety, and the empowerment of women.

Educational programming
Educational programming on issues of women and gender that supports the university's academic mission and well-being of students. In order to accomplish this, the Women's Center puts on various projects. Please take a look at the Programs and Events to see what is going on this month.
Direct services and resources
Direct services and resources for students dealing with domestic violence, sexual harassment, gender discrimination, and hate crimes:
- Providing a “safe space” where students can talk story about their lives
- Helping students to obtain resources or help within the community or on campus
