To be of assistance to you, the University of Hawaii Disability Services Office has created this list of resources that you may find of relative importance to you in your critical role as a leader, mentor and part of an academic support team to the students with disabilities enrolled at UH Hilo. The legal mandate to provide the reasonable accommodations is based on two major federal laws, Americans with Disabilities Act [1990] and Section 504, regulations at 34 CFR Part 104, and is in philosophically aligned with UH Hilo's mission of having an inclusive campus through its provision of high quality educational opportunities to all its students.
