Ka Lae (South Point) Beach Clean-Up

In honor of MLK Day January 20, 2014

Spend MLK day honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King by participating in this volunteer project cleaning up a stretch of beach where currents and visitors bring rubbish that scar the view and kills the eco-system.

  • Transportation provided to and from UH Hilo campus and Ka Lae, Ka’u
    • Breakfast and lunch provided
    • Gloves and tools available as well
  • On average about 30 students participate each year.
