Transcript fees are $5 regular processing and $15 rush processing.

Financial Obligations: Students with financial obligations will not be issued a transcript until the financial obligation has been cleared.

How to Order Transcripts

Fill out, print, mail or fax the Transcript Request Form along with your payment as instructed on the form.

  • Transcript requests must have the student's signature
  • UHH does not accept transcript requests by telephone
  • UHH does not offer electronic transmittal of official transcripts
  • Unofficial transcripts may be printed directly from the online system, MyUH

Mailing Transcripts:

Mailing time is not included in the processing time and is in accordance with the U.S Postal Service.

The university is not responsible for undeliverable transcripts once the transcript leaves our institution. If a new transcript needs to be issued, the student will have to submit a new request and pay the additional processing fee.

  • All transcripts are sent out by regular U.S. Mail for no additional charge.
  • U.S. Priority mail is available for an additional charge (see chart below). Delivery time is between 3-5 days and there is no guaranteed delivery time. Please indicate on your request (in the Special Instructions field if using the online form) that you would like Priority mail. Submit payment for transcripts plus Priority mail fee. Please be aware that there is no tracking on Priority mail. If you need your transcripts tracked, please use Express mail option.

Please Note: U.S. Express mail requires that a person be available to receive and sign for the transcript at the delivery address.

Alternatively you may follow the steps below:

  1. Submit a written request to the UH Hilo Office of the Registrar with the following information:
    1. your legal name
    2. any other names before, during or after enrolling at UH Hilo
    3. social security number
    4. birth date
    5. approximate dates of attendance at UH Hilo
    6. number of transcripts needed
    7. special processing instructions, i.e., "individually sealed," "rush processing," etc.
    8. where to send the transcripts (provide complete address)
    9. your current mailing address and telephone number
    10. your e-mail address (if available)
  2. The letter must bear your signature as the requestor.
  3. Payable to the University of Hawaii at Hilo, payment is required prior to issuance of transcripts. The current charge is five dollars ($5.00 US) per copy and will be processed within 7 working days upon receipt of the request and payment.
  4. The normal processing time is within 7 working days upon receipt of the request and payment. To expedite transcript requests, you may specify Rush Service for a higher fee of fifteen dollars ($15.00 US) per transcript. Rush transcripts are processed by the end of the next business day.
  5. Both the request and payment should be mailed to:

  6. Fax Transcript request and credit card payment information to: (808) 933-0862. Please call (808) 974-7385 to verify that your request was received.

For an Unofficial Transcript

Please see the Information Technology Services for the University of Hawaii System to keep your UH Username active as an Ohana. This will allow you to have access to your unofficial transcripts through your STAR account. If you have your UH Username, go to MyUH and click on STAR Degree Check.
