IMUA FitnessCampus Recreation Department provides numerous opportunities for patrons to meet their fitness goals. Qualified staff and resources are available for group and personal instruction in a wide variety of classes such as Yoga, Circuit Training, Hula and Spin. Non-credit activities are also available to provide educational experiences for a wide variety of interests. The activities offered include Dance, Martial Arts, Self-Defense, and Fitness Training classes. All Imua classes are free to members.

Imua Fitness 2015 Summer Class Schedule!

Color Description:

Class Descriptions:


Abs and Core – This class includes an intense 45 minutes core workout.  You will work your entire core while learning new exercises to help sculpt your entire body.  This class is open to all fitness levels and it is a great way to get the six pack that you always dreamed of!

Fit as a Fighter - Ideal for getting in shape, or supplementing your martial arts training. This class incorporates training in boxing and kickboxing. You will build your strength, speed, stamina, resistance, and balance from this class. There are also drills and boxing training so be sure to bring your own MMA gloves, if you have some.

Spin and Abs - Come and experience forty minutes of a cardio workout on the spin bike followed by a fifteen minutes of a variety of abdominal exercises. This class will be sure to give you a total body workout on our “world” class bikes while having fun too!

Total Body Conditioning– Maximize your body’s fat burning potential by adding strength training exercises to your routine. This class utilizes dumbbells, resistance bands, kettle bells, and stability balls, followed by abdominal exercises. You will be burning calories, building lean muscle mass and it will give you a great total body workout in just under an hour.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga— This class is open to all levels! Come and enjoy the upbeat pace of this class. During this class students will “flow” through Sun Salutations, standing and
sitting poses, balancing asanas, plank positions and much more. Modifications to asana are offered to accommodate various abilities.

Yoga– This class integrates various yoga teachings such as Hatha, Iyengar, and Astranga yoga. It will help you to strengthen your body while also being able to calm your mind, body and spirit.

Zumba Step ®: Fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness class using a step bench. You will love this exhilarating hour of caloric-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements combined with core strengthening exercises.

Please note: All participants MUST sign the risk and release form located at the weight room desk, or in the Campus Rec office, before attending any of the above IMUA fitness classes. This schedule is subject to change at any time. Cancelled classes will be posted outside of the studio.

Classes are free with membership, so come and try a class!
