The Student Coordinator Application is now Closed. If you're interested in being a part of the New Student Programs Team, consider applying for an Orientation Leader Position.

As a Coordinator, you’ll be instrumental as you help to plan and organize the Fall 2014 and Spring 2015 Orientation programs for the over 500 students and their families expected to participate.

Once Orientation is over, our work is not done. New Student Programs is more than a welcome crew; it’s about creating experiences which support our newest students throughout their entire first year as a Vulcan. Coordinators will chair one of three teams made up of our amazing Orientation Leaders to plan events that connect students, develop initiatives to support academic success, and show off our amazing campus pride.

With this opportunity you'll be able to add the following statements to your resume:

  • Coordinated the UH-Hilo Orientation program serving over 700 students and families.
  • Assisted in the development of new campus wide initiatives impacting over 1200 students
  • Chaired a New Student Programs Team, creating agendas, facilitating meetings, and recognizing outstanding achievements of members
  • Worked to create an atmosphere of connections, academic success, and ‘ohana for all new members of the UH-Hilo community
