New Student Programs (NSP) is committed to supporting all of the newest members of our university ʻohana (family). Our mission is to build a foundation for student’s full academic and social integration into the campus through the development of long lasting connections to other students, faculty, staff and student support resources; to build a supportive learning environment that promotes academic success; and to create a commitment to and understanding of what it means to be a proud member of our UH Hilo ʻohana.
It's official, the New Student Programs office is in our new location on the first floor of the new Student Services Center. We're still in the process of unpacking, but we're setting up our office and looking forward to seeing everyone in our new space. Stop on by and say Hi.
Fall 2014 New Student Orientation
Registration for Fall 2014 New Student Orientation is now open! Orientation will be filled with fun activities, events, and workshops all designed to Create Connections with other new students, with our amazing UH Hilo faculty, and with numerous campus resources and the awesome staff that run them. We'll also have workshops which will help to set you up to be Academically Successful here a UH Hilo, and of course there will be lots and lots of Vulcan spirit as we welcome you into our university 'Ohana.
