New Student Programs

New Student Programs (NSP) is committed to supporting all of the newest members of our university ʻohana (family). Our mission is to build a foundation for student’s full academic and social integration into the campus through the development of long lasting connections to other students, faculty, staff and student support resources; to build a supportive learning environment that promotes academic success; and to create a commitment to and understanding of what it means to be a proud member of our UH Hilo ʻohana.

Registration for Spring Orientation is now Open!

Spring Orientation is designed with Transfer students in mind. Orientation will be filled with fun activities, events, and workshops all to Create Connections with other new students, with our amazing UH Hilo faculty, and with numerous campus resources and the awesome staff that run them. We'll also have workshops which will help to set you up to be Academically Successful here a UH Hilo, and of course there will be lots and lots of Vulcan spirit as we welcome you into our university  ĽOhana.
