Call for Nominations- Ka Lama Ku Recognition Awards

Nominations are now being accepted for the UH Hilo's Ka Lama Ku Student Leadership Recognition Awards for the 2016-2017 school year.

Both the University and community-at-large are eligible to nominate students who are a Fall 2016 graduate, or a currently enrolled student with 6 or more credits with a cumulative 2.5 GPA to be recognized for their formal and informal leadership roles. Students can be nominated individually or within a group, team or organization in the following categories: ALAKAI-Leadership; IKE PAPALUA-To Have the Gift of Vision; KULEANA-We Are Accountable and Responsible; LAULIMA-No Task is too Big When Done by All and MALAMA-Taking Care of Others.

Nomination Forms and criteria are available at hilo.hawaii.edu/campuscenter/leadership/ or you may contact kalamaku@hawaii.edu for further info. Only printed nominations and essays will be accepted and must be submitted by 3:00 PM on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 to Campus Center Rm 309. Recognition Awards will be announced at the Student Recognition Ceremony on Wednesday, May 4, 2017 from 6:30-8:30 PM in the UH Hilo Dining Hall.
