This is the UH Hilo report; news about people, events and programs at the University of Hawai’i at Hilo.
Eighty-two students from the Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy will recite the Oath of a Pharmacist at their White Coat Ceremony on Sunday October 18 starting at 2pm in the Performing Arts Center. The ceremony signifies the rite of passage for students entering their first year in the professional program.
On Sunday, October 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the College of Pharmacy will present its seventh annual Health Fair at the Prince Kuhio Plaza. The community is invited to bring their medications in for review and consultation. Free blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes health screenings will be offered. There also will be informational booths, children’s activities, giveaways and more from participating community organizations.
Both events are free and open to the public. For more news about the University, visit hilo.hawaii.edu. That’s the UH Hilo Report. I’m Ken Hupp.
