This is the UH Hilo report. News about people, events and programs at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo.

The College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) is temporarily expanding the UH Hilo Testing Center’s GRE and Praxis testing sessions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to include exams on most Saturdays and Sundays through February 2015. Students planning to apply to graduate school are encouraged to schedule their exam immediately while seats are still available.

CCECS has also partnered with the UH Hilo Faculty Congress to sponsor free, public lectures on the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in UCB 100. Dr. Linc Gotshalk, professor of Kinesiology and Exercise Sciences will speak on “Physiology of Type II Diabetes on December 17 and Dr. B. Christopher Frueh will present “Mental Illness and the Future of Mental Healthcare on January 21.
