This is the UH Hilo report; news about people, events and programs at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo.
A select group of students has embarked on an exciting journey into the world of advanced science and modern technology, with their admission to the new STEM Research Honors Certificate program. The program is designed to promote academic excellence and provide opportunities for exceptional math and science undergraduates to take part in collaborative research or conduct their own under the guidance of an academic mentor.
The students will be required to maintain a 3.75 GPA throughout the program, and take a variety of demanding courses including Calculus I and II, up to 8 core major credits, two upper level Directed Studies and deliver a 20- minute presentation after completing the STEM Honors Research Seminar.
Applications for the next STEM Honors Program are now being accepted. For more information, contact Dr. Raina Ivanova at firstname.lastname@example.org
