This is the UH Hilo report, news about people, events and programs at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo.

The Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy will present its sixth annual Health Fair on Saturday, October 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Prince Kuhio Plaza. The community is invited to meet student pharmacists and faculty to receive health screenings on blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes. The event will also feature a "brown bag” medication check, healthy living demonstrations and information booths.

On Sunday October 12 from 2-4 p.m., 83 students from the class of 2018 will recite the Oath of a Pharmacist at the College’s White Coat Ceremony in the Performing Arts Center. The ceremony signifies the rite of passage for students entering their first year in the professional program to affirm their commitment to professionalism, respect, integrity and compassion. Both events are free and open to the public, with ample free parking.
