This is the UH Hilo report. News about people, events and programs at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo.

The UH Hilo School of Education is now accepting applications for a new Master of Education cohort for the spring 2014 semester. The program fosters professional growth and the renewal of licensed teachers in educational settings, enabling teachers to analyze and apply current initiatives, educational technology, and methods of addressing the needs of Hawaiʻi’s diverse student populations.

The M.Ed. is a 30 semester-hour program that requires four semesters and two summers to complete. Courses are offered once a week during evenings and special summer sessions.

The priority deadline for applications is October 15. For additional information about the M.Ed. and other School of Education programs, contact Travis Nakayama at (808) 974-7748 or
