This is the UH Hilo report. News about people, events and programs at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo.

The College of Pharmacy will present its third annual Health Fair on Sunday, October 16th from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the UH Hilo Campus Center. Students and faculty will conduct activities that promote healthy living, such as a “brown bag” medication check, as well as blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose screening. Later that day, 92 students from the class of 2015 will recite the Oath of a Pharmacist at the College of Pharmacy’s White Coat Ceremony beginning at 2 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. The ceremony is a rite of passage for students entering their first year in the professional program to affirm their commitment to professionalism, respect, integrity and caring. Both events are free and open to the public, with ample free parking.
