This is the UH Hilo report. News about people, events and programs at the University of Hawai`i at Hilo.

The Pacific Internship Programs for Exploring Science (PIPES), is now accepting applications for its summer 2012 program, which runs from May 29th - August 10th. Undergraduate students of Native Hawaiian ancestry, other kama`aina, under represented minorities, and first-generation college students are encouraged to apply for opportunities in paid summer environmental internships statewide.

Participants will work side-by-side with UH Hilo and other agency researchers, resource managers, and environmental educators on mentored experiential projects.
