Albert Paley Artist-in-Residence presentations scheduled

Albert Paley, the first metal sculptor to receive the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Institute of Architects, the AIAÔÇÖs highest award for non-architects, will give public presentations on Wednesday, October 13 at the University of Hawai╩╗i at Hilo UCB 127, and on Thursday, October 14, at the Volcano Art Center, Niaulani Campus in Volcano Village. Both presentations begin at 6 pm and are free and open to the public.

Paley will also create graphic works in the UH Hilo Art Department Print Studio from October 11-15 as part of the UniversityÔÇÖs Visiting Artist Program.

The presentations and residency program are made possible with support from the Hawai╩╗i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, the Hawai╩╗i Community Foundation Laila Twigg-Smith Art Fund, and the Art Department and Student Activities Council at UH Hilo.
