UH Hilo to host summer STEM course

The University of Hawai╩╗i at Hilo is offering a four-week bridge course for high school juniors and seniors and college students pursuing STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) degrees.

The course will be conducted June 16 ÔÇô July 14 and will provide students an opportunity to strengthen their math and chemistry skills for college-level science classes. Daily classes include personal interaction with UH Hilo professors, hands-on activities and experiments, islandwide excursions to apply skills learned in class, and the opportunity to develop a connection between culture and science. A $250 stipend and tuition waivers will be available for qualifying students.
