For Immediate Release

Join Rob Nunally and Mike Longo of Onomea Tea Company for a two-class series that will immerse participants in a full experience of tea. The classes are offered through the University of Hawai╩╗i at Hilo College of Continuing Education and Community Service and will be held on Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., and April 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is $40 plus a $10 fee for materials, and is limited to 12 students.

The first class includes an introduction to tea and how it is grown and processed, a tour of the plantation and a tasting. The second class will be a hands-on experience, where students will get to pick and process their very own tea. Please note that tea production is weather and supply dependent, and may be rescheduled if necessary.
