Tzu-Lung Chang art presentation

The public is invited to a slide-lecture of artist Tzu-Lung Chang’s studio work in stone and wood sculpture and art program at the Taipei National University of the Arts on Tuesday, September 27, beginning at 7 p.m. in the University of Hawaii at Hilo Gallery of the Art Department, Manono Campus, Building 395. Chang is UH Hilo’s visiting artist and artist-in-residence.
Chang is secretary-general and senior professor of sculpture at the Taipei National University of the Arts, Taiwan, Republic of China. His work has been exhibited in Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Australia, and Hawai`i. His work has been presented in the President of Taiwan’s Official Residence (Taiwan’s White House). His work is currently in a major exhibition of sculpture, “Passages and Beyond,” which showcases five major contemporary sculptors in Taiwan and which has been presented in the Providence University Art Center, Tai Chung from September 2004 to June 2005. It is currently being presented at Jhinan University in Nantou to September 2006.
During his residency, Chang will present a series of workshops in stone sculpture for Art students. The workshops are scheduled for Saturday mornings, beginning October 8th .
