“Effective Online Business: Hosting, Marketing and Management Strategies” is an upcoming series of agricultural workshops designed for flower shippers organized through a cooperative effort between the University of Hawaii at Hilo College of Business and Economics and the University of Hawai`i at Manoa’s College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources.
Workshops that take flower shippers through different skill and information levels are planned, with the purpose of providing in-depth education on the subject of e-commerce for the improvement of online business. The first Advanced Level Workshop is scheduled for June 1. Workshop fee is $25. Introduction, Intermediate and Advanced Level Workshops are then scheduled for June 7 ($10), June 28 ($20), and September 13 ($25). All workshops will be held at the Komohana Agricultural Complex in Hilo.
Presenters include Dr. Kelly Burke, UH Hilo associate professor of management information systems, and Steve Parente, Aina Hawaiian Tropical Products. Both have expertise in Web site development, design, hosting, use of search engines, reporting tools, and marketing techniques.
